UNIBS visits Gussago

Last week we had the pleasure of welcoming a group of students from the industrial automation engineering course of the University of Brescia to our production facilities of Rubinetterie Bresciane in Gussago, for a day dedicated to discovering the technologies and skills that drive our industry. This visit represents a unique opportunity to promote dialogue between the academic and business worlds.

Working with universities allows us to build a direct bridge to talent and innovation, giving students the chance to discover the company up close and inspiring them to pursue professional careers in a dynamic and constantly evolving environment.

The group's state-of-the-art facilities and international profile aroused great interest among the students. Through the use of advanced technologies, we aim to improve not only our products but also to create a stimulating working environment geared towards personal and professional growth. This synergy with the university world opens the door to future collaborations and potential hires, with the desire to integrate young talent into our group.

We would like to thank UNIBS and all the students for their visit and the enthusiasm they shared with us!

Bonomi Group at ADIPEC 2024

Quam, Valpres, Valbia – Italian Pavilion, Stand 1434

Bonomi Group will participate in ADIPEC 2024, held from November 4 to 7 in Abu Dhabi, with three of its leading companies in the Oil & Gas sector: Quam, Valpres, and Valbia. These companies operate in the Energy Industry, covering all phases of the supply chain—upstream, midstream, and downstream—with advanced technological solutions.

Quam
Quam specializes in the design and manufacturing of equipment for the upstream Industry. Its product range includes:

  • Choke valves, designed to regulate fluid flow coming from wells. They are resistant to erosive, corrosive, and viscous fluids, available in both manual and actuated versions.
  • Axial flow valves, used for shut-off (HIPPS) and control (ASV), with designs that ensure fast operation movement speeds and minimized turbulence.
  • Gate valves (ON/OFF), available in Slab Through Conduit and Expanding models, used to stop or reactivate fluid flow.
  • HIPPS (High-Integrity Pressure Protection Systems), integrating Slab gate, axial flow, or ball valves, providing overpressure protection with SIL-3 and SIL-4 certifications.

Valpres
Valpres designs, engineers, and produces ball valves for industrial and energy sectors, including:

  • Actuated ball valves for ON/OFF applications, leveraging internal synergies with Valbia for actuators and Quam for control systems. These valves are used in applications such as SDV, ESDV, BDV, HIPPS, and MOV.
  • Control valves to regulate flow rate and pressure, with patented innovative solutions that reduce weight and footprint compared to traditional globe valves.
  • Locpower, an energy recovery control valve, which converts dissipated energy from pressure reduction into usable energy, helping reduce CO2 emissions.

Valbia
Valbia specializes in the production of pneumatic and electric actuators, 100% made in Italy. Of particular interest is the MT multi-turn electric actuator, a patented system with the following features:

  • Latest-generation AC-Brushless motor managed by a Valbia inverter, enabling precise stroke control and valve protection from water hammer.
  • IP66/68 double-sealed enclosure, ensuring maximum reliability even in extreme conditions, with a non-intrusive design that allows configuration and readings without needing to open the device.
  • ATEX and IECEx certifications.

Bonomi Group offers complete, synergistic solutions covering all needs along the supply chain, from upstream to downstream, with innovative and high-performance products.

SERVIZI A RETE: LOCPOWER IN THE GAZZERA PLANT - VENICE AQUEDUCT

Last week, at the Servizi a Rete 2024 event, Marco Tassotto (Valpres Sales Manager Energy Division) and Claudio Gattavari (Valpres Control and Energy Harvesting Valves Product Manager) presented the abstract “Installation of an energy recovery hydraulic control valve at the Gazzera plant - Acquedotto di Venezia”, concerning the first installation of the Valpres Locpower valve for the Veritas Group.

The project, focused on the production of green energy and the digitalisation of the water network, aims to improve the efficiency of the infrastructure, guaranteeing the reliability of the system, even in areas with a high influx of tourists.

Thanks to the Valpres Locpower valve, it has been possible to harness hydraulic pressures to reduce losses, cut CO₂ emissions and improve network monitoring.

In the first part of the presentation, the Veritas Group described the path to this result, while Valpres illustrated the concrete benefits: around 200 MWh recovered per year and over 80 tonnes of CO₂ avoided.

A significant achievement that marks progress for the environment and underlines the need for sustainable solutions for the water infrastructure of the future.
